We send our prayers and condolences to famed Singer Eddie Levert of The O’Jays. Levert recently lost his youngest daughter Ryan. Ryan Levert was 22 years old and she had been battling Lupus for many years. Keep Eddie Levert and his wife Raquel in your prayers. Levert has unfortunately suffered the loss of his children before with the deaths of his son Gerald and Sean Levert.

We Remember Actor Art Evans. Eans was a character Actor who was known for his roles in Die Hard 2 and a Soldiers Story. His career spanned decades he was 82 years old.

The music world lost a 70’s music Icon with the death of Singer Alfa Anderson Anderson sang with the musical group Chic. She along with Nile Rodgers, Bernard Thompson and Norma Jean made history with the classic Disco songs Good Times, Everybody Dance, Le Freak and I want your love. Anderson also toured with Luther Vandross and when she wasn’t singing, she was also an educator. Anderson was 78 years old.

We also lost one of the area’s best-known Dj’s. DJ Gary O knew how to rock a party and he was known in the area clubs and for his work every Summer at the Dell Music Center. Gary Odom was 63 years old.

Mufasa the Prequel to Disneys the Lion King is in theatres. Featuring the voices of BEYONCE, her daughter Blue Ivy Carter and Donald Glover. The movie tells the story of a young Mufassa and Scars.

Tyler Perry’s latest Netflix movie The Six Triple Eight with Kerry Washington is streaming on Netflix The movie is inspired by the first and only Women's Army Corp unit of color to serve overseas in WWII. Despite facing racism and sexism and grueling work conditions, they were committed to serving their country with honor and distinction.

The tour will be in Philly on Monday May 5th at the Lincoln Financial Field. The tour is also making a stop in Hershey Pa. Sunday June 16th. The lineup for the opening ceremonies at the Superbowl includes the pre-game entertainment with Singer Ledisi singing ‘Lift Every Voice and Sing” Grammy Award winning Artist Jon Batiste performing the National Anthem and Trombone Shorty and Lauren Daigle are performing ‘America the Beautiful’.
