The man who started it all for Motown Berry Gordy is being honored on Sunday with a Kennedy Center Honor. Gordy 91 is in good company with Bette Midler and Joni Mitchell. The ceremony is happening on CBS.

Get ready for Judge Steve Harvey. Steve Harvey is playing the Judge and Jury is his new show debuting Jan. 4th on ABC.

Jimmy Fallon pf Tonight show fame also has a new show debuting in January on NBC. The show called ‘That’s My Jam’ features celebrities competing in musical and dance inspired games. The variety show will also feature Philly Natives Musician Adam Blackstone and DJ Aktive.

Live in front of studio Audience is returning to ABC Dec. 7th. The focus this time are on two shows that were big on NBC ‘Different Strokes which aired from 1978 to 1986 and The Facts of Life which ran from 1979 to 1988. So far we know Kevin Hart is playingthe role made famous by Gary Colman Arnold Jackson. Damon Wayans is playing Willis Jackson the role played by Todd Bridges. As soon as I find out the other casting I will pass it along.

Also on December 7th it’s the debut of the comedy show ‘Abbott Elementary’. The show is about a group of dedicated teachers who in spite of the odds stacked against them they are determined to help their students succeed in life. The show stars Philly Native Quinta Brunson, Sheryl Lee Ralph, and Tyler James Williams who is best known for the show ‘Everybody Hates Chris.

The Peoples Choice Awards are airing on December 7th on NBC. Keenan Thompson is hosting. Oscar Winner Halle Berry whose latest movie ‘Bruised’ is now streaming on Netflix, is getting a lifetime Achievement Award and Dwayne The Rock Johnson is getting The Peoples Champion Award.

Get ready for Spiderman No Way Home, the movie hits theaters Dec. 17th. The trailer is hot! Spiderman (Tom Holland) is back with Zendaya, Jacob Batalon who plays his best friend Ned. Jamie Foxx is returning as Electro. Dr. Strange (Benedict Cumberpatch) has joined the cast to help Spiderman. The villains Green Goblin and Doctor Ock also return.

Get ready for Harlem a new show coming to Prime Video Dec. 3rd. the creator of the show is Tracey Oliver the force behind the hit movie ‘Girls Trip’. Harlem stars Meagan Goode, Grace Byers (Empire) and Actor Tyler Lepley. The 10 episode series is about stylish girlfriends. Whoopi Goldberg and Jasmine Sullivan will be making Cameos.

A Journal for Jordan the movie starring Michael B Jordan and Directed by Denzel Washington is set to hit theaters Christmas Day. The movie also stars Chante Adams. A journal for Jordan is the true story of an Iraq war vet who died while in combat but before he died he left a series of letters for his new newborn song. The Film opens in Theaters Christmas Day.

We remember Designer Virgil Ablow. Ablow a designer for Louis Vitton and Off White lost his battle with Cancer last week at the age of 41. Ablow was also known for his creative work with Rappers Drake, Kanye West and others on their album covers.

We also remember Tony Award winning Composer Stephen Sondheim. The Broadway stage was his home and he will be remembered for his great songs. The Steven Spielberg revival movie ‘West Side Story’ coming out December 10th will be featuring the music of the late Composer.

The 8th and final season of Blackish kicks off January 4th on ABC. Anthony Anderson the star of Blackish has already landed a new gig. Anderson is returning to Law and Order when the show starts its revival next year.

Congratulations to Quest Love of the Roots his documentary ‘Summer of Soul’ won big at the Critics Choice Awards. Summer of Soul which many say was the Black Woodstock won awards for Best Documentary, Best Archived Documentary and Best Music Documentary. Summer of Soul features musical performances from Stevie Wonder, Sly and the Family Stone , The Staple Singers,The Temptations and many more. Summer of Soul is now streaming on HULU.

Stephanie Mills is coming to Atlantic City for the 70’s Soul Jam. Sunday February 20th with the Whispers, Howard Hewitt, and the Stylistics. The show is happening at the Etess Arena inside the Hard Rock Rock Casino in Atlantic City.

Maxwell is back. He just released a new song called ‘Off’ and he’s going on tour in 2022. Maxwell is going on tour with Singer Anthony Hamilton and Joe. They will be in Atlantic City Friday April 1st at the Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City. Tickets are on sale now.

Filming is being halted on the set of Black Panther 2 Wakanda Forever. Actress Letitia Wright who plays Shuri in the series was injured on the set in Atlanta last August. She was treated and released from the hospital but apparently she needs more time until she can return. Filming on the new black Panther 2 movie will resume at the first of the year. The film is scheduled to be released next Fall, but look for more delays because Actress Letitia Wright refuses to get vaccinated. She is back home in London and cannot return To the US unless she is vaccinated. Filming is happening in Atlanta Georgia. Her role may have to be recast and the scenes she did totally scrapped. Black Panther 2 may not come out until 2023.

Will the Rock Actor Dwayne Johnson return to the Fast and Furious for the 10th and final edition. Vin Diesel says even though the two don’t get along he would love to see him return for the final edition of Fast and The Furious.
