Jeffrey Allen Townes also known as DJ Jazzy Jeff or simply Jazz, was born in West Philadelphia. He is a hip hop and R&B disc jockey, record producer, turntablist and actor who is best known for his early career with Will Smith as DJ Jazzy Jeff & The Fresh Prince. Over the course of his career, DJ Jazzy Jeff has achieved many accomplishments including a DMC Championship and multiple GRAMMY and American Music nominations and awards. His work was also prominently featured in the NWA biopic, ‘Straight Outta Compton.'
