105.3 WDAS is celebrating Black History Month by shouting out some of our favorite sons and daughters throughout the month of February with The Pride of Philly…some of the biggest names in the world of music, entertainment, politics and the arts that hail from Philly or the surrounding Tri-State area.

FEBRUARY 18, 2021:

Keven D Parker was a world-renowned restauranteur and entrepreneur in the City of Philadelphia known for his showcase restaurants, Ms. Tootsie’s on South Street, and Keven Parker’s Soul Food Café in the Reading Terminal.Parker had an excellent work ethic who began his trek in corporate America as a banking executive who also had a flair for creating, planning and cultivating events for various high end clients in the City of Philadelphia and throughout the Northeast. But his culinary expertise and catering magic was his hallmark signature to a City that embraced his excellence in multiple fields.Parker transitioned on January 14th of this year at the age of 57, leaving us way too early, but providing a legacy that will last for decades to come.
