Congratulations to WDAS-FM's own Tony Brown! He's celebrating 45 years in radio today and boy, what an accomplishment! Tony hosts our Quiet Storm weeknights at 7pm-midnight and it is because of him that I have fallen in love with El DeBarge! If you listen to my show or follow me on social media, you know that I call El "my husband in my head." Well I grew up listening to Tony Brown and when I was a teenager, I heard him playing El DeBarge on the radio. I was already listening intently because it was THE TONY BROWN, then when El came on...my ears perked up even more! So Tony, if you're reading this, thanks for initiating my love for El DeBarge! Hahahah!
Now in all seriousness, we love you here at WDAS, Tony. Never in a million years did I think I'd be working alongside a radio icon such as yourself. Congrats on 45 years, and here's to many more!
