Tyler Perry and Oprah Winfrey are teaming up once again! OWN will premiere Tyler's fifth series for the network, The Paynes. The upcoming comedy will act as a spinoff of House of Payne. It will follow the characters Ella and Curtis Payne as they attempt to enjoy their retirement in Florida. Cassi Davis and LaVan Davis will return in their roles as Ella and Curtis, respectively. The Paynes has begun production at the new Tyler Perry Studios in Atlanta and is set to debut on OWN in 2018.
In other Tyler/Oprah news, OWN has ordered 44 more episodes of The Haves and the Have Nots as well as 18 more episodes of If Loving You Is Wrong. However Love Thy Neighbor and For Better of Worse are getting the axe after their final upcoming seasons. The 22-episode fourth season of Love Thy Neighbor premieres Saturday March 4th and the 20-episode sixth season of For Better or Worse will premiere Saturday June 10th.
