Kim Porter's alleged memoir was taken down shortly after her family declared it was fake.
Amazon confirmed the book “Kim’s Lost Words: A Journey For Justice, From The Other Side" was pulled from its store on Tuesday, October 1. The purported paperback book full of diary entries from the late model and mother was a bestseller on Amazon after it was released last month by independent publisher Todd Christopher Guzze a.k.a. Chris Todd. Todd previously claimed that he received a flash drive full of documents and tapes from sources who are "close to Kim and Sean Combs."
“We were made aware of a dispute regarding this title and have notified the publisher,” an Amazon spokesperson said in a statement to Associated Press. “The book is not currently available for sale in our store.”
The book was full of eye-popping excerpts that detailed disturbing allegations about Porter's relationship with Sean "Diddy" Combs from domestic violence to sexual abuse. After the book gained traction online, Porter's children Quincy Brown, Christian Combs, and twins Jessie & D'Lila denounced the book in a joint statement. They asserted the book was fake and warned people about spreading the outrageous details in it. Porter's former husband and Brown's father Al B Sure! also spoke out about the book and reportedly sent a cease-and-desist letter to the publisher.
“Anyone claiming to have a manuscript is misrepresenting themselves,” the children said in their joint statement. “Additionally, please understand that any so-called ‘friend’ speaking on behalf of our mom or her family is not a friend. Nor do they have her best interests at heart.”
Chris Todd, who published the book under the pseudonym Jamil T. Millwood, has not commented on the book's status.
