So, people got pretty excited today when we saw Aaliyah's Twitter account randomly posted about a 'big announcement' coming on August 21st. Naturally, people thought maybe there would be some unreleased tracks being released, reissues, her songs and albums FINALLY coming to streaming (!!!!!)

Not a whole lot to work off there, but upon further snooping, Madame Tussauds in Vegas ended up posting this as well - so it appears most likely that Aaliyah is getting a wax statue in the museum... which is still very good news, and solidifies her icon status.
However, we would LOVE if all of those other things came true ... hopefully one of these days!
