Miss America has been a tradition for many decades. It’s seems like they are making major changes and Pennsylvania is one of the states affected.
According to fastcompany.com “The states whose licenses were revoked include Georgia, West Virginia, and Pennsylvania, as well as a fourth state that has not yet been named, according to the AP. The four states will no longer be affiliated with the Miss America Organization and have to turn over their bank accounts with the organization’s scholarship money .”
Miss America leadership organization has called for two former Miss America winners to turn in their sash’s and crowns. This anti-bullying campaign influenced by the former Miss America winner, Gretchen Carlson, has help raise $22,000 which is being raised to help these states fight back against the leadership of the Miss America Organization.
