Aretha Franklin was hospitalized over the weekend. While surrounded by family and close friends at this time, they ask for prayers for the Queen of Soul. According to the Detroit Free Press, Franklin is said to be "gravely ill."
Following a cancer diagnosis in 2010, the now 76-year-old music legend announced her retirement last year, stating she'd only perform at select shows. She had to cancel 2 recent shows in New Jersey this past March, while her most recent public performance was at the Mann Center in Philadelphia in August 2017.
