Roseanne Barr found herself in hot water yet again. This time, coming after President Obama's former aide Valerie Jarrett. Barr's tweet claimed Jarrett was a product of the Muslim Brotherhood and the "Planet of the Apes." After much backlash, Barr apologize, but that did not resolve anything. ABC has decided to cancel her show. ABC Entertainment president Channing Dungey said in a statement via Variety: "Roseanne's Twitter statement is abhorrent, repugnant and inconsistent with our values, and we have decided to cancel her show."
Just your normal TV star #Roseanne pushing anti-Soros conspiracy theories & referring to Afro-American Obama advisor Valerie Jarret as 'muslim ape'. But don't dare to call her racist. pic.twitter.com/LgUgrd5nCM— Oliver Darko (@oliver_drk) May 29, 2018
I apologize. I am now leaving Twitter.— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) May 29, 2018
I apologize to Valerie Jarrett and to all Americans. I am truly sorry for making a bad joke about her politics and her looks. I should have known better. Forgive me-my joke was in bad taste.— Roseanne Barr (@therealroseanne) May 29, 2018
