Serena William's has had the best year! She can now add a wife and mother to her resume, but behind the scenes she had to make arguably one of the hardest decision as a bride to be.
According to Bossip.com: Serena had a conversation with her father about his attendance to her wedding. "Serena, I don’t want you to be mad at me, but I just can’t walk you down the aisle. I’m not myself anymore. I’m just too nervous”, said Serena's father.
He has battled with health issues that forced him to not walk Serena down the aisle. As upsetting as I would have been, she was calm and collected. According to Bossip.com: Serena responded, "I know the struggles he’s had these last few years. His health is better now, but I know he still doesn’t feel like himself, doesn’t feel like he’s perfect…And if he doesn’t want to be up there in front of a lot of people, I completely understand.”
