5-21 Insight Part Two Hosted by Loraine Ballard Morrill

Insight with Loraine Ballard Morrill

Loraine Ballard Morrill talks with Cheryl Wadlington, founder of Evoluer House which is a White House honored girl mentoring program.  100 percent of its gradates complete high school and go on to get a degree.  This free program is recruiting for the summer.

For those looking for a great free program for kids that give kids exposure to STEM and makes science not only relatable but fun – there’s GSK’s Science in the Summer Program.  Loraine speaks with GSK'S Marti Skold Jordon about how young people can sign up.

The ROOTS are not only making their mark musically but doing good things in the community.  Loraine Ballard Morrill speaks with Naeemah Patterson from the GrassROOTS Community Foundation about a community race training program and The ROOTS Rock Run 5 K coming up in June.

Loraine loves an inspiring story and that’s what she got after interviewing Jennifer Myers.  Jennifer is a “comebacker” who dropped out of college to raise a family but never let go of her dreams to go back to school.  Fast forward to 2017 when Jennifer is completing her degree at Community College of Philadelphia and became the first person of color to earn a prestigious Jack Kent Cooke Scholarship.
