PowerCorpsPHL is a City of Philadelphia AmeriCorps program administered in partnership with EducationWorks and Philadelphia Youth Network that provides young adults with workforce development opportunities through environmental stewardship and service programs throughout the city. Loraine Ballard Morrill spoke with its Executive Director Lisa Varon and one participant, Bryan Johnson, has moved up through the ranks of the organization. Johnson was recently named a finalist for the Mayor’s Day of Service Distinguished National Service Alumni Award.
