2017 is going to be a year of milestones for Keith Sweat. Just two weeks ago he celebrated the 10th anniversary of The Sweat Hotel. During these past 10 years, the show has become the #1 nationally syndicated Urban AC evening radio show.
In an interview with Billboard Keith went on to say âYears ago, I would have never thought of doing radio, but the situation fell into my lap. Iâve always been a person willing to take on unforeseen opportunities. Otherwise, you can get locked into a place that youâll never be able to get out of.â
This November, Keith will celebrate the 30th anniversary of his 1987 triple platinum debut album Make It Last Forever. That debut album spawned a music career that has sold more than 25 million records and five #1 albums. Sweat went on to say âIn the beginning, it was more about just wanting to make a record and have all my friends say yeah, Iâm listening to you on the radio.â âI never imagined that years later younger artists would be calling me an OG in respect for what Iâve done.â
