Pride of Philly: Ukee Washington

Ulysses Samuel "Ukee" Washington III is a news co-anchor who is famous for his work as a newscaster for weekday evening newscast on CBS 3 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is also known for being a sports anchor in the ‘WBBH-TV’ in Fort Myers, Florida and at ‘WSB-TV’ in Atlanta. He anchors ‘Eyewitness News’ on CBS 3 with Jessica Kartalija and formerly hosted ‘Eyewitness News This Morning’ on CBS. Washington also hosted the local teen issues discussion show "Rap Around," and currently hosts the "Brotherly Love" segment that profiles people who have made a positive impact on their communities.

The Broadcast Pioneers of Philadelphia inducted Washington into their Hall of Fame in 2008, and the Pennsylvania Association of Broadcasters Hall of Fame included Ukee Washington in 2015. Philadelphia City Council named him a "Living Legend" in 2017.
