Nafessa Williams was born on December 4th, 1989 in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She studied at West Chester University of Pennsylvania and although she is originally from Philly she took her acting talents to Los Angeles where she now resides. Nafessa is a film and television actress known for her portrayal of Deanna Forbes in 2011 on the popular soap opera ‘One Life to Live.’ Some of her films have included “Burning Sands and Twin Peaks. She starred on the CW’s ‘Black Lightning’ TV show, where she assumed the role of a lesbian superhero named Anissa, who was the daughter of the lead character, and was also seen in the Whitney Houston biopic, ‘I Wanna Dance With Somebody’, playing the role of Robyn Crawford. Nafeesa currently stars as Cameron Cook in the Hulu/Disney+ series ‘Rivals’.
