105.3 WDAS is celebrating Black History Month by shouting out some of our favorite sons and daughters throughout the month of February with The Pride of Philly…some of the biggest names in the world of music, entertainment, politics and the arts that hail from Philly or the surrounding Tri-State area.

FEBRUARY 23, 2022

Patty Jackson...our radio queen...was born in South Philadelphia to father Robert and mother Sarah Nolan. With an incredibly smooth voice that gets Millions of people through their workday across the tri-state area...Jackson just recently celebrated 40 years on air this past January 24th, and celebrated an incredible 2021 which saw her earn the lifetime achievement award from the National Association of Black Journalists, and even more incredible...had the street where she grew up in South Philly renamed, Patty Jackson Way this past October. We look forward to Patty’s 40th radio anniversary celebration later this summer at The Dell Music Center, and also look forward to seeing her making her acting debut in a feature film coming in Winter of 2022.
