BET announced it green-lit a new show called Social Awards, pitched to them by comedian and actor Mike Epps. Now 3 producers - Calvin Valrie, LaMichael Finney and Bervick J. Deculus - are claiming Epps stole their idea. According to TMZ, the producers claim "they pitched an eerily similar show called Social Media Awards to Epp's cousin, hoping to get Mike on board." They were blindsided when they got wind of BET's plans to air Socials Awards in February. After lawyering up, the producers say they are still willing to work with Epps.
