According to Prince's sister Tyka Nelson, the late star's favorite color was not purple, as the world seemed to believe. In a recent interview Nelson said, “The stand out piece for me is his orange Cloud guitar. It is strange because people always associate the colour purple with Prince, but his favourite colour was actually orange.”
We're having a hard time taking this in. Prince's estate and The Pantone Color just recently created a custom shade of purple to honor the late musical icon. To us, we will always associate Prince with the color purple.
