Pepsi released a new commercial starring Kendall Jenner. The ad displays a positive cheerful protest and suggests that a can of soda can solve the issues between civilians and the police force. Black Lives Matter movement member and civil rights activist Deray McKesson spoke out about Jenner's choice of profit over social justice.
The Breakfast Club's Charlamagne tha God says Jenner and Pepsi should be ashamed of themselves, but he doesn't expect more. See his response as well as the Pepsi ad below.
Pepsi release a statement defending their ad which reads, in part, "This is a global ad that reflects people from different walks of life coming together in a spirit of harmony, and we think that’s an important message to convey."
