The Queen Of Soul, Aretha Franklin, Retiring From Music?

At the age of 74, Aretha Franklin has decided to "retire" (somewhat) from the music industry this year. In a recent interview with WDIV4 in Detroit, the Queen of Soul revealed, "I will be recording, but this will be my last year in concert. This is it...I feel very, very enriched and satisfied with respect to where my career came from and where it is now...I'll be pretty much satisfied, but I'm not going to go anywhere and just sit down and do nothing. That wouldn't be good either." She's gearing up to release a new album this September and she's enlisting the help of the one and only Stevie Wonder. After the album, she's slowing down her career dramatically - only making special appearances once or twice per month for six months out of the year. Needless to say, the Queen of Soul has given the industry a great catalogue of music.
