Jonathan McReynolds is back with a brand new single from his anticipated Christmas EP.
On Thursday, November 7, the Grammy award-winning singer-songwriter shared his new song "Sent Me A King" featuring Smokie Norful, and it's iHeartRadio's latest World Premiere. On the track, McReynolds and Norful celebrate the joyous holiday season as they take turns crooning about the "world’s greatest gift and the reason for the Christmas season, Jesus Christ."
“Christmas comes at the end of the year. And sometimes that year took a lot out of us,” Jonathan McReynolds said in a press release.
“The cost and the benefit of being able to put on your red and green and get in the spirit of the season and remind yourself of God’s greatest gift to us gets higher and higher," he added. "I wanted to make some original music to reflect that.”
The song is set to appear on McReynolds' first-ever Christmas EP Red & Green arriving November 22 via Life Room Label/Capitol Christian Music Group / Motown Gospel. His upcoming project is the seasoned singer's fresh take on Christmas music. He ditches the typical covers and serves up original tunes that will serve as the perfect soundtrack for the holiday season.
Jonathan McReynolds plans to celebrate the release of his first Christmas project by heading on the "Red & Green Tour" next month. His six-city concert series will begin December 1 in Chicago and conclude in Atlanta on December 21. Tickets for the tour are on sale now.
