Lee Louis Daniels is a film and television producer and director. Daniels produced Monster’s Ball, which made him the first African-American to solely produce an Academy Award-nominated film. He also directed Precious, which received Academy Award nominations, including Best Director and was the creative force behind the hit TV series, Empire, starring Taraji P. Henson and Terrence Howard.Daniels’ newest project is The United States of America vs Billie Holiday, which will air in February of 2021 on the Amazon Prime Network.
