Prince Harry & Meghan Markle Will Appear In The First Time100 TV Special

Prince Harry and Meghan Markle will make their first joint public television appearance in quite some time later this month. The former royal couple is set to appear on the first-ever Time100 special.

The special, which will air on ABC September 22, will reveal the 2020 edition of Time's famed list of the 100 most influential people in the world. ABC's senior vice president of alternative series, specials, and late night, Rob Mills, said in a statement: "Amidst this unprecedented year, we hope that viewers at home will not only be entertained but feel inspired by the impact that the honorees of the 2020 TIME100 list have made on the world."

According to E! News, the first-ever televised version of the Time100 list will be "an entertainment-filled inside look at the leaders, creators and everyday heroes comprising the 2020 list ahead of its Time print debut." In addition to the Sussexes, John Legend, Kumail Nanjiani, Trevor Noah, and Sandra Oh are all expected to appear, as well.

While Harry and Meghan will be honored as two of the world's most influential people, a promo for the special appears to hint the couple will forgo their royal titles—the Duke and Duchess of Sussex—for the event. In the short promo, they were simply called "Meghan and Harry."
