Kerry Washington just keeps getting hotter. While she's not as high as she should be, the newlywed made her debut on Forbes list of Highest Paid TV Actors/Actresses. And, she's hosting Saturday Night Live on November 2nd. Washington is the first African American in more than a year to host. Ex-castmember Maya Rudolph was the last in 2012. This comes on the heals of some way out comments from current Castmember Kenan Thompson. He claims SNL isn't to blame for the lack of diversity in the cast. Thompson says the talent pool isn't there. That drew the ire of many critics who are aware of performers like Kim Wayans, Kim Coles and Debra Wilson. Not to mention, SNL could give a break to an unknown, as they've done with the Caucasian American castmembers. Meantime, Washington's red hot TV drama Sandal is back on Thursday nights at 10pm on ABC. And, check out Washington, who is married to 49ers Cornerback Nnamdi Asomugha, on the latest issue of Essence magazine.

The tragedy is getting compounded for NFL Star Adrian Peterson. Peterson's 2-year old son Tyrese was killed last week as a result of an assault. The boyfriend of the boy's mother, who has a prior record of assaulting another woman and her child, has been arrested and charged. What makes this tragedy worse is that Peterson had no apparent relationship with Tyrese, apparently only learning he was the boy's father about a month ago. The two never met, and Peterson saw Tyrese for the first time in the hospital where the boy passed away. Peterson already baffled people with his extremely casual relationship with the boy's mother and his decision to play in last weekend's football game. Now published reports quote one of Peterson's ex-girlfriends and her claim that the NFL running back has seven children by various women.
Harry Belafonte versus the estate of his good friend Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.? That's right! Legendary Singer/Actor/Activist and King Confidant Belafonte is suing The King Estate after they blocked Belafonte's auctioning of a King speech on Vietnam. Belafonte claims he is the rightful owner of those documents after receiving the blessings of the late Coretta Scott King and the widow of another King confidant who held the papers.
