I Is What I Is! That's what Paula Deen told Matt Lauer this week. More sponsors are abandoning ship when it comes to Deen. The embattled celebrity chef got into hot water last week when she and her brother Bubba were accused of violence, discrimination and racism in the workplace by Lisa Jackson, a former employee at their Savannah seafood eatery. Jackson is suing Deen. In a deposition, Deen did admit to using the “N” word on occasion. After cancelling TV appearances and losing a renewal on her Food Network contract, she finally came on the Today Show and gave Matt Lauer an emotional
interview. Critics say because she didn't actually apologize and kept noting how the “N” word is used by some African Americans, that Deen didn't help herself. Some even say she hurt herself. Both Deen's sons have taken to TV to defend their mother as well. Deen may need to leave it to them and stay out of the spotlight for now. Sources say Deen's hired Crisis Manager Judy Smith, the inspiration behind the Shonda Rhimes-Kerry Washington TV drama Scandal. So far, sponsors Caesars Entertainment, Smithfield Foods, Wal-Mart and Home Depot have joined Food Network in cutting ties with the TV food entrepreneur

Mom Katherine Jackson, Jackson's children and the estate are suing concert promoter AEG for the negligent hiring of Dr. Conrad Murray, who is currently serving 4 years in prison for involuntary manslaughter in the death of Michael Jackson. The trial is to established how much responsibility AEG must take for Jackson's death. Prince Michael also recounted witnessing a heated argument between an AEG executive and Dr. Murray, but couldn't hear them. Prince Michael also spoke of the toll the loss of his father is taking, but didn't mention sister Paris.
