Katherine Jackson is in the battle of her life as she takes on concert promoters AEG Live in the Michael Jackson wrongful death civil trial. Katherine is seeking millions of dollars. Even with Rebbie and Randy by her side, many wonder if she is strong enough for a trial. Katherine is 84, and AEG is going to try to drag Michael's name through the mud with stories of drug and alcohol abuse, and even if he is the biological father of Paris and Prince. Randy and Rebbie are holding their mother up. They stand to gain just as Michael's kids do if Mom Katherine wins. The trial could go on for weeks. Papa Joe has been told to stay away from the proceedings.

In more Jackson news, Jermaine is refusing to pay his child support. Jermaine faces up to 60 days in jail if he doesn’t pay by August. Babymama Alejandra Jackson says Jermaine owes her $30,000. Why is she babymama and not just ex? Well, that's because Alejandra had children by Jermaine's brother Randy Jackson, and then turned around and married Jermaine and had kids by him. Jermaine has the money because he is dating a rich Arabian woman. He is just refusing to pay his ex
the money for their children.

How did Fantasia lose the weight? She looks amazing since she dropped 50 pounds by eating healthy and working out everyday. Fantasia is promoting her latest CD Side Effects Of You, and she will be touring this summer.

We remember Chris Kelly better known as the “Mac Daddy” half of the hip hop duo Kriss Kross. Their super hit of 1992, Jump, was an anthem and lead to instant fame for the duo which turned into acting and huge music tours with The King Of Pop Michael Jackson. Jermaine Dupri discovered the pair in an Atlanta mall and produced their debut, multiplatinum album Totally Krossed Out. It put Dupri's So So Def label on the map. Back in the day, I did a big appearance with them at a West Philly Checkers, and the place went wild. Kelly and his Kriss Kross partner Chris Smith recently reunited for So So Def's 20th anniversary celebration. Kelly was found unconscious in his Atlanta
home and pronounced dead at a local hospital. Kelly was 34-years old.

After a five-year courtship, it was wedding bells for Basketball Legend Michael Jordan and Model Yvette Prieto. The 50-year old former NBA superstar married the 35-year old Cuban beauty over the weekend in Florida. They hosted over 500 people at their reception including Mike's boyz, Spike Lee, Scottie Pippen, Patrick Ewing, Tiger Woods and Ahmad Rashad. Entertainment was provided by K'Jon, Robin Thicke, MC Lyte and Usher. Jordan was previously married to Juanita Vanoy, and they had three children. That divorce cost Jordan $168 million, but congrats to the new Mr. & Mrs.!

It was not a good weekend for Actor Jeffrey Wright. Wright, who is married to Actress Carmen Ejogo, was arrested over the weekend for drunk driving. He was charged with a  D.U.I.  Comedian Kevin Hart was also official charged with a D.U.I. stemming from an incident a few weeks ago when he was arrested for driving drunk. So how drunk was “nephew?” He almost crashed into a gas tanker.

The marriage may be over for Screen Legend Clint Eastwood and his much younger wife Dina. Dina, 47, and Eastwood, 82, have a teenage daughter. Dina, who starred in the E! Entertainment reality show Mrs. Eastwood & Company, recently entered rehab to battle depression and anxiety.

Tyler Perry is being sued by a man who claims the media mogul stole his idea. William James claims the movie Temptation: Confessions Of A Marriage Counselor starring Jurnee Smollett-Bell is
based on the story James says he passed onto an associate of Perry's. The suit asked for damages and a permanent credit for James acknowledging the movie is based on his idea. Temptation was released in March and has grossed close to $50 million

Rocky is coming to Broadway. The boxing movie franchise won a Best Picture Oscar in 1976 and Sylvester Stallone a star. Now it’s scheduled to be on the Great White Way in 2014.

G Garvin is scheduled to kick off a second season of his show Road Trip With G Garvin. The second season kicks off Tuesday, May 7th on the Cooking Channel.

Oscar Nominated-Actress Gabourey Sidibe (Precious) is joining the cast of American Horror Story. Season three kicks off later this year on FX.

Malinda Williams (“Bird” from Soul Food) is going to be of the talk show Exhale airing on Magic Johnson's Aspire cable network. Exhale is drawing comparisons to the ABC talker The View, but will feature other African American women with Williams discussing topics. The panel is also slated to include former Essence Editor-In-Chief Angela Burt-Murray and Journalist Rene Syler.

Jennifer Hudson, Forest Whitaker, Angela Bassett and Mary J. Blige are headlining the cast of the movie version of Black Nativity, which is coming out later this year.

The 2013 Tony Awards air June 9th on CBS. Congratulation to Acting Legend Cicely Tyson, who got her first ever Tony nomination for her role in the stage production of A Trip to Bountiful. She’s been nominated for Best Actress.

Will we see the birth live? Tamar Braxton is expecting her first child with hubby Vince Herbert, and she says she wants to show the birth on their reality show Vince and Tamar.

Singer Luke James, who's topping the charts with his latest single I.O.U., is going on tour with Beyonce when she starts the U.S. leg of her tour. Beyonce is set to return to 2013 Essence Festival July 4th -7th. Then she'll be in Philly July 25th at the Wells Fargo Center and at The Boardwalk Hall in Atlantic City on July 26th. When she takes her Mrs. Carter tour to New Orleans and the Essence main stage, LL Cool J, Trey Songz, Jill Scott, Keyshia Cole, New Edition, Brandy, Mint Condition, Tamia, “Uncle Charlie” Wilson, Solange Knowles and Maxwell will also on the bill.

NeNe Leakes of The Real Housewives Of Atlanta is getting her own spinoff. I Dream Of NeNe is a wedding special that will air this fall as she plans to remarry her ex-husband Greg Leakes. Look for a lot of drama with this show. I hear Greg does not want to sign a prenup to remarry NeNe. He feels he doesn’t have to since he supported her for years before she became famous.

The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame induction ceremony will air Saturday, May 18th at 9pm on HBO. This year's inductees include Public Enemy, the late Donna Summer and Quincy Jones. Special guests include Jennifer Hudson, Kelly Rowland, Spike Lee and Harry Belafonte. Don't look for Flavor Flav's uncut Public Enemy acceptance speech because it went on for more than 30 minutes!! Really? A judge allowed Flav to attend the ceremony then return and face an assault case. The 54-year old Flav is accused of chasing his girlfriend's 17-year old son with a butcher knife. He is facing two felony charges and could get up to 12 years in jail.

Mark Wahlberg is teaming with Oscar Winner Denzel Washington and Paula Patton for the movie 2 Guns, which opens in theatres August 2nd.

Don't cry for ex-Dancing With The Stars Contestant D.L. Hughley. Despite his lackluster dancing skills and being kicked off the show, the comedian landed a new TV deal. The exposure has paid off. Hughley will co-host (with Michael Ian Black) the TBS series Trust Me, I'm A Game Show Host where the contestants guess which host is telling the truth. 

Actress Robin Givens is also returning to TV. She'll play a hip, outgoing mom in the ABC Family channel's murder mystery series Twisted. Givens' first appearance is set for July.

The BET Awards has now turned into the BET Experience. The show airs June 30th on BET with special guests Beyonce, New Edition, R Kelly, Miguel, The Jacksons, Snoop Dog and many more. Chris Tucker is this year's host.

At the movies this week, it's Iron Man III with Robert Downey, Jr. and Don Cheadle. I hear Downey may be retiring from the role after this movie.

Get ready for a new documentary about Julius “Dr. J” Erving. It's to celebrate the 30th anniversary of the NBA legend's only NBA championship with the Philadelphia 76ers. The 90 minute special, The Doctor, will air on NBA-TV June 10th.

Sunny Anderson of The Food Network has a new cook book coming. Sunny Anderson: Easy Food For Real Life hits stores this August.

Disco Legend Gloria Gaynor is known for her classics Never Can Say Goodbye, I Am What I Am and Let Me Know (I Have A Right), but her best known hit is influencing her new work. The song I Will Survive has inspired Gaynor's fans to come to her with their survival stories. She's decided to compile those stories into a new book called How We Survived available through her website

Tracy Morgan will be hosting The Billboard Music Awards on ABC Sunday, May 19th. Prince will be honored that night with a Lifetime Achievement Award.

White House Down is Jamie Foxx's latest film. Foxx is going to play the President Of The United States and his co-stars are Channing Tatum and Jamie Foxx Show alum Garcelle Beauvais. White House Down opens in theatres June 28th. Foxx has also been named the new spokesperson for the national
campaign for Big Brothers And Big Sisters. Jamie is also playing the new villain in the next Spiderman movie. Foxx will be playing Electro. His latest movie, the Quentin Tarantino-Oscar winner Django Unchained is available on DVD. The movie also stars Leonardo DiCaprio, Kerry Washington, Christoph Waltz (Oscar winner) and Samuel L. Jackson. Foxx is also in talks to star in the movie musical Annie with Oscar Nominee Quvenzhane Wallis (Beasts Of The Southern Wild). Foxx is set to play “Benjamin Stacks,” a take-off on the “Daddy Warbucks” character. Annie is scheduled to hit the big screen late next year.

Ahmir Questlove Thompson, the drummer for The Roots, has a memoir coming out June 18th called Mo' Meta Blues: The World According To Questlove.

We are going to get more of Wendy Williams. Her popular talk show will be extended into the summer with fresh episodes in June and July and she has a new advice book Ask Wendy which is coming out May 7th.

The R&B Music Hall Of Fame will launch new inductees May 5th, 2013. New inductees include Michael Jackson, Aretha Franklin, Whitney Houston, The Supremes, The Miracles and Ray Charles.
